課程概述 |
On the course Dutch 2 students will work through chapters 7 through 12 of the Dutch language course book “Contact : Nederlands voor anderstaligen”. Topics during the fall semester （unit 7-9）include: the body and health, the past, giving advice, going on vacation, locations, landscapes, looking for work, studying abroad
Great emphasis is put on building up practical communication skills, by means of listening and speaking activities. Each chapter in the book is divided into three thematic sections, each of which introduce the learner to new linguistic skills, which recur for further exploration as the learner progresses.
Each chapter also introduces various cultural aspects of Dutch society and typical Dutch festivals. All students are expected to give two oral presentations on a cultural topic of their choice. |

課程目標 |
After taking Dutch 1, semester 1 students are working towards level A2 of the Common European Framework of References. The language learner
‧ can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
‧ Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
‧ Can describe in simple terms aspects of their background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need. |

課程要求 |
This course is open to students who have completed Dutch 1. For students who have learned Dutch to level A1 elsewhere it is recommended that they work through chapters 1-6 of the coursebook. |
